CoPilot Live is the fourth line for his turn, GPS stand-alone application with built-in maps throughout North America that my iPhone 3GS. After Navigon laid function, and TomTom, I thought there would be nothing new, I managed to find a navigation app. I was wrong.

CoPilot Live offers a quick way to switch between modes, which include car, motorcycle, bicycle and on foot. This makes the application ideal for around town, especially, say, if you need to change from driving to walking. App Navigon offers a similar feature, but you have to dig fairly deep into the menu to change the regime. CoPilot What you can do so at any time, even in the middle of the existing route, just a few taps.
Another nice thing is the possibility CoPilot Live Services, which includes live weather and communication channel. Live Weather allows you to view weather reports or weather in another city. Live link allows CoPilot Live users, allowing them to send messages or share of seats. I could not verify this, as I was the only one I know who used the App during testing.
Options: Live Services, of course, requires an Internet connection and is available only when there is a cellular or Wi-Fi signal. Unfortunately, the most anticipated feature, which also requires an Internet connection in real-time traffic option is not available yet, although there is a placeholder for it in section Live Services in App. According to ALK Technologies, manufacturer of CoPilot Live, the service will be added through the update, which will be released later this month and costs an additional $ 20 per year, on top of the current $ 35 for a fixed amount of approx. No other GPS iPhone Apps now offer real-time traffic.
Also there is no text to speech function, in which the application will read the name of the street. Nevertheless, the application has a wide selection of voices for you to choose from. It includes 29 votes languages, each with several variants of accents, both men and women. This is perhaps the most versatile GPS-application for the iPhone in terms of languages it supports.
Performance-wise, CoPilot Live App runs fastest among all GPS applications I tried. It took only a few seconds on my iPhone 3GS (this may take a little longer to iPhone 3G). App Snappy very well when it comes to getting the GPS signal and routing. Unfortunately, the view map App suffer from some lagging when switching between vertical and horizontal positions, and in general looks pretty App wheelchair.
First, sometimes during my many trips to the application, the map view appeared to hang like a red dot (representing the current location of the vehicle) to completely stop the motion, as if the car stopped. Most of the time it takes a few seconds on the map view will live again and point to become the current location of the car. At other times, I would need to restart the application. I do not know why it happened, but it may be because the GPS signal was temporarily lost.
The second question, which, of course, the error was in the section quick stop, which is the fastest way to access the App's point of interest database. When you hit the tab hotels, restaurants come up, and when you click on the tab, restaurants, hotels come up. Unfortunately.
The third issue that I had with CoPilot, it was really bad at reading the addresses from the list of phone contacts. TomTom Although there were some problems with the reading of addresses that do not contain the postal code, CoPilot Live randomly had problems with reading a large portion of the address in the contact list, including TomTom and Navigon Service had no problems with understanding.
CoPilot Live is not done manually enter the address easily, because it does not use any information from the address listing, which may. In the event, TomTom, it would re-use the information that he understands the address, for example, city, street, etc., making re-enter the address less hassle.
I used the App as in San Francisco and New York, and in both places, CoPilot once in a while, seems outdated maps, routing was not very large, and even wrong from time to time.
Coelom, CoPilot Live has great potential, especially in the section of Live Services, but in its current state, it is not reliable enough to be used as the primary applications for GPS Road Trip. In defense, App's, is the most affordable among all other applications, iPhone GPS I've tested - at least for now. Nevertheless, I very much hope that the next update will work all the bugs, which makes the application more reliable navigator.
